The Standard to reintroduce core annuity products

Last October, due to economic pressures, The Standard made the decision to suspend the sale of their Principal Growth Annuity 5, 7, and 9; their First Rate Annuity 7 and Advantage Growth Annuity 5. At that time, The Standard promised to bring these annuities back to the market as soon as they were able.

These products will be reintroduced on February 15, 2012 with new commission structures. A few of The Standard's current products will also see a new commission structure effective February 15.

The Standard's banner product that most agents are currently selling -- the Focused Growth Annuity 5 and 6 -- will not see a commission reduction.
